3 senior military officers get first star
MANILA, Philippines - Three senior military officers, one of them the senior military assistant of Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin, got their first star in a new batch of promotions approved by President Aquino.
Promoted to the rank of Brigadier General effective last May 3 were Cols. Hernando Iriberri, Remegio Valdez and Crisologo Navye.
A member of Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Class of 1983, Iriberri is the incumbent senior military assistant of Gazmin.
Prior to his defense posting, Iriberri served in various capacities in the Philippine Army, his mother unit.
Valdez, who belongs to the Philippine Marines, is the incumbent commander of the Sulu-based 3rd Marine Brigade. He also served as executive officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ (AFP) Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training (J9).
Before this, Valdez was deputy brigade commander of the 1st Marine Brigade based in Basilan.
Nayve, on the other hand, is the current chief of the Office of Defense Reform of the Department of National Defense (DND).

This is the raw version of the song Diwa (Ngayon Na!) that I recorded using just this guitar, and overlaying it 3 times with the help of Apple’s Garage Band…

Hi everyone! I’d like to share with you a song shared by PNAdvocate JR Calicdan entitled Manalig Ka Lang Sa Bayan Natin
I am curious of his shots of my Dad during the Earth Day Celebration at Carac-An… Probably because he was far away and hiding… Of the many people there, and many of his shots, I noticed a lot of photos of my Dad, basically stolen… Whatever motives you have, there is a God watching us all..
I bought this in Cebu last 2003, and man it still sounds good! This is probably the only thing that lasted this long in my possession… This is actually my 2nd one, because the first one I had last 2000 did not last a year because I broke it! But this one, ang tibay! It’s just a nice feeling to have it back here with me… Nakaka excite at nakaka inspire… Having this, I would not have a problem delaying my dreams of having a Taylor, or a Guild guitar! Nakakasatisfy na e… haha
